Proposal of a Routing and Management Agent for MPLS networks

Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) network Operation and Management is crucial for Service Providers (SPs), in order to timely deliver IP Connectivity Services with QoS assurance based on Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to individual and corporative users. Seamlessly integration with underlying optical infrastructure is also a main issue. This paper presents some techniques that face the problem of providing Traffic Engineering on the IP/MPLS over Optical Transport Network (OTN) infrastructure, in particular the provision of end-to-end paths with QoS and Policy Constraints, and proposes a Routing and Management Agent that can assist SPs offering Connectivity Services over such infrastructure.
